COACH PROFILE
David Tomkinson, a Swimming Australia/SCTA and AUSTSWIM qualified coach, boasts an impressive career spanning over 25 years during which he has guided both beginners and competitive swimmers across diverse global locations. In 2002, David co-founded The Hayley Lewis Swim School with Olympic and World Champion swimmer Hayley Lewis, marking a significant milestone in his coaching journey. In 2018, he expanded his influence by founding SLP Global, a venture that received recognition by winning the Thailand Prestige Award Sports Club of the Year for 2021/22. His exceptional achievements also include being honored with the APAC Insider SOUTH EAST ASIA Business Award for his role as a Recognized Leader in Sports Development in Thailand in 2022 and the prestigious CORPORATE VISION Global Business Award for Best Swim Coaching & Training Business in QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA in 2023.
In addition to his coaching accomplishments, David has an impressive track record as a National-level swimmer. He achieved a remarkable Top 10 ranking in the competitive 100m and 50m Breaststroke. During his swimming career, David had the privilege of training alongside Australian swimming legends such as Susie O'Neil, Jade Edmistone, and Scott Logan, all under the guidance of the late Bernie Wakefield, a distinguished Australian Olympic and AIS Coach. David's current achievements speak volumes, with him holding a prestigious Top 10 ranking in Australia's Masters M45-49 category for the 25m, 50m, and 100m Breaststroke.

Myles Larsen
COACH PROFILE
Myles Larsen, a certified swimming coach affiliated with Swimming Australia and SCTA, boasts an impressive track record of developing swimmers at both State and National levels since 2006. His expertise spans a diverse range of age groups, including juniors aged 7-12, seniors aged 13-20, and Masters swimmers aged 30 and above. In 2008, Myles played a vital role in shaping the swim squad at St Hilda's private school on the Gold Coast of Australia.
Myles brings valuable competitive experience to his coaching, having swum at State, National Age, and Open levels for over 12 years. His journey included participation in the Commonwealth Games Trials in 2006. He trained under internationally acclaimed coaches like Dennis Cotterell (known for coaching two-time Olympic Champion Grant Hackett) and Richard Scarce (credited with the success of World Champion Cameron McEvoy).
Presently, Myles collaborates with David Tomkinson in discovering elite sporting talent and developing them through specific training programs. Impressively, he holds a Top 10 ranking in the Australia Masters M30-34 category for 50m and 100m Breaststroke, 50m Butterfly, and 50m Backstroke—a testament to his dedication and expertise in the swimming world.
